Lego Wall Mount Bracket Installation Instructions

Here is our guide to installing your 3D-printed wall mounts. These brackets are designed to support compatible LEGO® models safely and securely. Correct installation is essential to ensure that the bracket and displayed model remain properly supported.

Important safety information: These wall mounts are intended for indoor decorative display only. They are not toys and are not intended for persons under 16 years of age. Installation should be carried out by an adult.

Required Materials

  • Wall mount bracket
  • Screw or screws supplied with the bracket
  • 6 mm Rawlplug UNO® wall plugs supplied with the bracket. You can view the Rawlplug information leaflet here .
  • Power drill
  • 6 mm diameter drill bit
  • Phillips-head manual screwdriver
  • Spirit level, optional but recommended
  • Ruler or measuring tape
  • Pencil

Before Installation

  • Use the bracket only with the compatible LEGO® model identified in the relevant product listing.
  • Choose a suitable indoor wall that is capable of supporting the bracket and displayed model.
  • Check for concealed electrical wiring, pipework and other services before drilling.
  • Do not install directly above beds, seating areas, desks or other places where people may sit, sleep or remain for extended periods.
  • Do not install in narrow walkways, doorways or locations where the displayed model may be accidentally struck.
  • Avoid locations exposed to prolonged direct sunlight, radiators, heaters or elevated temperatures.
  • Ensure that there is sufficient clearance around the completed display.
  • The installer is responsible for confirming that the wall and supplied fixings are suitable for the intended installation.

Installation Process

  1. Locate the Mounting Position
    • Choose the required position and mark the bracket screw-hole centres on the wall using a pencil.
    • Use a spirit level where possible to ensure that the bracket will be level.
    • Most of our two-hole brackets have 30 mm hole centres, other than:
      • LEGO® Icons Concorde, set 10318 – 50 mm
      • LEGO® Icons McLaren MP4/4, set 10330 – 70 mm
      • LEGO® Icons Williams Racing FW14B, set 10353 – 70 mm
      • LEGO® Kylo Ren’s TIE Fighter, set 75179 – 40 mm
      • LEGO® TIE Interceptor, set 75348 – 40 mm
    • A positioning diagram for the two-part LEGO® Technic Ferrari SF-24 F1 horizontal wall mount can be viewed here .
  2. Prepare the Wall Surface
    • Using a 6 mm drill bit, drill each hole deeply enough to accommodate the full wall plug and the protruding length of the screw. The hole should be at least 28 mm deep.
    • Remove drilling dust where possible.
    • Insert the supplied 6 mm Rawlplug UNO® wall plugs fully into the drilled holes.
  3. Attach the Bracket
    • Align the bracket’s fixing hole or holes with the prepared wall holes.
    • Insert the supplied screw or screws.
    • Tighten using a manual screwdriver only. Stop tightening as soon as the bracket is held firmly and flush against the wall. The screw does not need to be tightened as far as it will possibly turn.
    • Do not overtighten. Do not attempt to pull the screw head further into the bracket or continue tightening after the bracket is secure. Excessive force may crack, deform or otherwise damage the bracket.
    • During installation, stop immediately if you hear a cracking sound or notice splitting, whitening, deformation, movement around the fixing hole or the screw head being pulled unusually far into the plastic.
    • Do not use the bracket if it is visibly damaged or if you suspect it may have been damaged during installation. Do not mount the LEGO® model. Remove the bracket and contact us for assistance.
  4. Final Safety Check
    • Confirm that the bracket is level, firmly seated against the wall and does not wobble or move.
    • Confirm that the screw head is securely seated without being forced excessively into the bracket.
    • Inspect the bracket carefully for cracks, splitting, whitening, deformation or other damage, particularly around the fixing hole.
    • If any damage or instability is visible or suspected, do not use the bracket.
  5. Mount Your Model
    • Position the compatible LEGO® model on the bracket as shown in the relevant product listing or supplied installation guidance.
    • Ensure that the model is correctly seated, stable and fully supported before releasing it.
    • Do not force, drop or press the model heavily onto the bracket.

Ongoing Safety and Inspection

  • Periodically inspect the bracket, screw fixing, wall condition and displayed model.
  • Check for movement, loosening, cracking, splitting, deformation or deterioration.
  • Discontinue use immediately if damage or instability is observed or suspected.
  • Do not attempt to resolve movement by repeatedly tightening the screw if the bracket may already be damaged.
  • Do not climb on, pull, hang additional objects from or otherwise load the bracket beyond its intended use.
  • Do not modify, cut, drill or remove material from the bracket.
  • Do not exceed the Rawlplug recommended weight limits shown in the Rawlplug information leaflet.
